first shared with to Sunjita Gandhi( Oxbridge Jan 2007) and UK supporter networks of City Montesorri and Gandhian practice nets, I have just enjoyed dinner with my 84 year old father quizmaster of thousands
of leaders and one of tghe earliest speakers at The World Economic Forum (hi Klaus) where dad http://www.normanmacrae.com/friends.html was reminding me that the reason he never got to do a future history of India http://futurehistory.jp was that as he was about to make a trip over to India in the time that Indira Gandhi was in charge , his visa was
refused because of concerns that Macraes ask too many unusual flow questions ( unfortunately I don't inherit
most of my dad's best skills but ironically the 2 times I have travelled to Delhi on business to ask questions I have
always been permitted a visa -on one occasion to speak at the Indira Gandhi National Centre of Cultures on the "coming
wars between goodwill and badwill networks" at an event hosted by IGNC, Komesaroff's GRN and Devy's Bhasha Trust
which included deep testimonies on culture as the missing key to any sustainable conflict resolution by such as Shamis Hussein
(Somalia), Modjtaba Sadria (all hemispheres) and Alfonso Lingis, probably the NW's most inspiring philosopher... and 100
deep speakers ...and chief guest India's minister of broadcasting. Its a crying shame that Britain's media minister
never guests such events, something that Londoners must urgently change if the BBC is prove its world service worth as
the biggest investment ever made in public broadcasting http://futurestocks.tv sincerely chris

Social Collaboration Entrepreneur GuidebooksPosted to:

We are experimenting with the idea that publications of social collaboration entrepreneur guidebooks could be every
bit as pervasive and locally coded as hotel guides or restaurant guides. Part of the mapmaking
job involves encouraging popular participation and evolution of world citizen organisations as a third system typology. One
whose constitutional innovation capability and deeply human gravity can help transform the interlocal valuation of global
corporations and national governments now that the networking age is reaching humanity's tipping point. This opportunity
and risk is primary to those who have engaged in megatrend debates with our family's journalist networks since we forecast
that 2005 to 2015 would be the most critical decade for human sustainability back in 1984 http://www.normanmacrae.com/netfuture.html | How do people value professional or public service sectors? transparency

the begiining and end of every economic system the number 1 assumption needs to be healthy societies (integrating up from
and flowing across grassroots communities) compound health economics not vice versa exploring this truth
is what the world socila forum was designed to empower the world economic forum to do - see Grajew videos - coming soon for
the moment why not simply enjoy a postacard from Africa and help us link it in to South London-World's 5 year programmmePassports to Sustainability Another World is Possible” (Dunia Mbadala Yawezekana).
Efforts to fight corruption and punish those responsible
for ethnic clashes filled the atmosphere as the Kenyan delegates demanded for constitutional reforms. The Kenyans are demanding
for the establishment of truth and reconciliation commission to deal with past and current political, social and economic
crimes. “Another World is possible” with the alternative changes the leaders are demanding, the 2004 Nobel Laureate
Prof. Wangari Mathai also led a petition to the African Union members for failing to honor their pledge of their annual budgets
of 15% for health care. The South African Nobel Laureate Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu, who signed on behalf
by Prof. Mathai, also petitioned this by calling the African leaders to act fast and implement their pledges to reverse the
trends of treatable diseases in Africa. Arguably, there is tragic death of 8 million Africans annually to preventable, treatable,
or manageable diseases, illness and health conditions. This is the first World Social Forum I am attending, but I have also gone and attended many forums. What
is important the awareness it raises at the local and regional level. Many people will now know there is a global movement
that addresses African s’ concerns about health, environment and governance. At individual level, we will go home with
something that will make each person say I came, I learnt and I will take action in this direction. In such gatherings I try
to push for my deepest question of “How I can help myself at the same time help others”, I will be happy, if the
action I take back home is to be more optimistic on how my community can get information through modern technology and many
taking risks to do this combined goal through willingness. The need to address Africa debts took many with storm and people are asking IMF and World Bank to be more
considerate with Africa in their assistance.Althouth this was in the opinion of many in the forum, the attendance were not
very committed to share outside session rooms. This made me realize all orgs are out to scramble for remaining Africa natural
resources. Socio-neo libre-orgs will be the same as the Europeans petitioning for Africa colonization. My first session was on media and to us another World is possible with
best practices. Speaking at the media session was the director of Highway Africa News Agency (HANA), Chris Kabwato said there
is urgent need to engage governments in media to best practices because Africans are now moved by Euro-Centric content and
are reduced as consumers only not producers. Mr. Kabwato warned that some of the alternative Medias in Africa heavily relied
on donor funding for their operations and this is very serious and dangerous because they are not sustainable. The governments
in Africa to create indigenous media with cultural relevant content were Access of media, citizenship versus consumerism;
the North/South relationship, hegemony, diversity and pluralism. In addition, in the media session, the director Inter Press Service Ms Farai Samhungu revealed
that although IPS was formed with the Ideal of the South to generate homegrown news, the agency is still donor dependent for
43 years later. A communication activist as me, Mr. Jason Nardi from Italy spoke about the liberalization of media content
production. He said that the modern information communication technologies such as the internet had enabled individuals to
produce their own news culminating in an information society. To counter this we need communities to be able to create and exchange their own content and use different
platforms Jon Barnes from the PANOS London said that his organization his organization identified weaknesses and challenges
within the African media and began redressing them. PANOS was engaged to building African journalists’
capacity to report effectively on trade issues especially at international level where there is dearth of African generated
content. Lastly, participants of seventh World
Social Forum are being requested to join the struggle for depth reform of system of international institution. The pursue
of the goals requires a stronger and more democratic process from all stakeholders, it is good to share and do organize yourself
as the rest. Hope the World Social Forum brings changes
by implementation. From
Samwel WSF 2007 Nairobi.

I should have
written to you about Mr. Narayanbhai Desai a long time ago. With your deep interest in Gandhian thought, I am sure
that you are aware of the great contribution made by Gandhi's long time associate Mahadev Desai, who arranged things
for him, kept copious notes, translated texts and prepared diary entries that were daily authenticated by Gandhi himself.
What we know in such detail about Gandhi, his thinking and his life, is largely because of Mahadev desai's untiring involvement
in the freedom struggle as the closest associate of Gandhi. Naraynbhai Desai, Mahadev Desai's son, grew up under
Gandhi's eye during the hot years of freedom struggle. Later, he became a part of the leadership collective for
the Budhan Movement, and during the last two decades has been leading the anti-nucear proliferation initiative in India. He
is a creative writer with a rare strength. I do not think you will have seen his writings because he writes in the Gujarati
language. Soon after the Gujarat riots of 2002, his multi-volume biography of Mahatma Gandhi appeared ---the most authentic
and uniquely moving so far-- and made a publication history in Gujarati, as three prints were sold off within twenty
days of its publication. Since then, he has been devoting his time to sensitising the young generation in India,
which has very little awareness of Gandhi's life, work or thought, by narrating the Gandhi life through his public lectures.
He is a little over 80, spends his time with the spinning wheel, writing and giving his lectures. I
would like to warn you that he is extremely hard pressed for time, and he wil not be able either read or answer very
